Shoes glorious shoes

Following on from my post last week about the shoes I snapped up from Stylistpick using the 50% off code advertised on Facebook I thought I would give you all a little peek at what they look like as they arrived this morning. The delivery is pretty speedy considering I only ordered the shoes late on Friday, I received an email saying they were dispatched just 30 minutes after placing the order and they arrived today!

Like I mentioned in the previous post, I absolutely love Stylistpick. I think the service is amazing, not just the speedy (free!) delivery but I love the packaging the shoes arrive in. A lot of effort goes into packing each order with each shoe individually wrapped in tissue paper, the box had ribbon tied round it and you also receive a bag for each pair of shoes!

So now for the shoes...

All three pairs are so beautiful and really great quality. Unfortunately the flatforms are really too big, but I will definitely be exchanging them so fingers crossed the smaller size fits! Despite them being too big, they look amazing on and are a really flattering shape. The other two fit well and look equally as beautiful on as they do in the box. I love both of the prints and the metal toecap makes them more edgy. I'm definitely not regretting my splurge on all three pairs as I hope to get lots and lots of wear out of these pretty babies...

Do you love Stylistpick? Have you bought a pair of must-have shoes recently?

Stylistpick Picks

Stylistpick Picks

Stylistpick currently have 50% off selected flat shoes. 'Like' their page on Facebook to see which styles are included and to get your code.

I really love Stylistpick, I think the service is great and so are the prices!

I went a bit mad and bought these 3 pairs! I love the style of the first two, the pointed toe and metal toe cap are very on trend. I initially opted for the monochrome dalmatian print but my obsession with leopard print wouldn't let me leave the site without adding the leopard version to my basket too! The third style also caught my eye, I am yet to jump on the band wagon of the 'flatform' so I thought for just £17.50 I would give them a go!

Have you shopped at Stylistpick before? Which styles would you choose with 50% off?

Easter weekend!

I know this is a bit late, I meant to post about this last week but just couldn't find the time! I thought I would just do a little post about what I got up to over the long Easter weekend.

Friday:

When we woke up Friday morning, the sun was finally shining! So, me and my boyfriend decided to take our son to Whipsnade zoo which is only a 20 minute drive from our house. I absolutely love going to the zoo and as we pay to be ZSL members each year we can go free so it seemed like the perfect thing to do. As I just mentioned I love going to the zoo and seeing all the animals, as does my boyfriend, possibly even more than our son! Whipsnade is perfect for a day out as it is set in countryside and is great even just for a walk around. First we saw the chimpanzees, which were outside for the first time in a while, then we went on to see the bears, which again I haven't seen for a long time as they have been in hibernation so that was nice. After that we saw the giraffes (my personal fav), the lions, the meerkats, the tigers an the elephants (Oliver's favourite). We ended up spending just a few hours there as, although the sun was out, it was absolutely freezing! Despite the cold we had a fab day out as we always do at Whipsnade. I would definitely recommend Whipsnade zoo, ad becoming a member is such great value if you go regularly like we do. The membership also includes London zoo. You get free entry, free car parking, 50% off taking your car into the zoo and 20% off the gift shop and cafes.

Saturday:

Saturday daytime I went shopping with my sister to get our dad a birthday present and have a catch up over coffee! I also made a few sneaky purchase of my own (haul coming soon!).

Saturday night me and my boyfriend went out for our friend's 26th birthday in Watford. We started off in Bodega's which I have never been too before, it had a 1920's theme with low lighting and sumptuous leather furniture. They provide an 'at seat' service so you don't have to queue at the bar which I really liked as there is nothing I hate more than queuing up at a packed bar! According to their website it is aimed at over-25s although I think this is discretionary as there was no one at the door and I made it in! It was the perfect place to start the night with the low volume jazz music making it easy to chat and catch up before going on to other bars with loud music. All in all I really liked this bar, although the drinks were slightly pricey for me. Me and my boyfriend paid £10.20 for a single Malibu and lemonade and a non-alcoholic beer (he was driving!). We he went on to Walkabout where the drinks were cheaper and the music was loud, perfect for a bit of dancing before me and my boyfriend left around 12am to relieve my parents of our son!

Sunday:

Sunday was my dad's birthday and a day filled with chocolate and cake, and lots of it! After scoffing lots of eggs, my sister came round with a birthday cake for my dad and Easter cupcakes! My mum had also made her traditional Simnel cake so we were all well and truly stuffed!

Monday:

On Monday my parents, my sister, my boyfriend and I all took my son to Buckinghamshire Railway centre for their Day out with Thomas event. They happen all over the country at different Railway Centres and it is a great day out if you have/know any young children obsessed with Thomas the Tank Engine! We did this last year and had a great time so thought it would be good to take Ollie again as he is now older and would hopefully enjoy it even more than last year. Unlike last year, we decided to get up early and go as soon as it opened, this was definitely a good idea as it was much quieter than last year when we had gone around lunch time. It was a great day out, they attach faces to the old trains to make them look like characters out of Thomas the Tank Engine. There are two different trains to ride on as well as a miniature train ride! Ollie absolutely loved the whole day and although the tickets are quite pricey (£15 for adults and £11 for children) it is the railway centre's only form of funding so we didn't mind too much. After a fun few hours with Thomas we went to Pizza Express for a late lunch to celebrate my dad's birthday.

All in all, an exciting, fun-filled Easter weekend!! What did you get up to over Easter? Have you been to Whipsnade Zoo or a Day out with Thomas event, what did you think? I would love to hear in the comments below!
